2023-2024 - The Osoyoos Curling Club is seeking an Ice Technician.
Job responsibilities include ice installation (in August), care and maintenance of the playing surfaces throughout the season (October thru March), and year-end removal (late March/early April).
Ideally applicants should have curling ice making and maintenance experience. A Level 1 Curling Ice Technician Certificate would be an asset and Level 2 would be a bonus. However consideration will also be given to those who have curling experience. Training will be available.
The club is a four sheet curling facility hosting day and evening draws 4 – 5 days per week and several bonspiels throughout the season (plus the mid summer bonspiel in August) and occasional provincial events.
This is a contract position with WCB coverage requiring approx. 500 hours per year.
Remuneration will be commensurate with experience
