2025 Mid Summer Bonspiel Registration Form

History
The Osoyoos Mixed Summer Bonspiel started in 1979, four years after the new Curling Club was built in 1975.  With the exception of only a few of the earlier years, the bonspiel had to be cancelled due to the lack of teams.  If everything would have gone as planned, in 2014 we would be celebrating our 35th annual!!!.  During the mid eighties registration really took off and it wasn't uncommon to have 60 - 70 teams participating in this week long event.  Everyone had such a good time with so many memories of their time in Osoyoos and at the Curling Club.

A part of the club for more than 20 years, this event evolved from a week long spiel & golf week to a more condensed curling event with opportunity to still enjoy all the community has to offer. Golf, wine touring, and spending time at the beach are still important to many of the curlers so the committee works hard to set up a draw that allows a little free time for everyone to enjoy their favorite off-ice activity. In early 2013, the organizing committee was at crossroads with the bonspiel as attendance over the years had slowly declined, putting the spiel at risk. With the addition of "new blood" on the committee, a marketing push started that spring resulting in a 32-team event. And in 2018 set a record participation with 40 teams competing over a full 4 days.
